Climate and lanscape

CLIMATE

In summer  the winds blow from south to north, laden with rain. In winter, winds are coming inside dry and cold. Although Castilla y León is framed within the continental climate in the land different climate domains are distingued:
To the north, in the highest part of the Cantabrian Mountains, an Atlantic climate, with mild winters and warm summers, is seen while in the lower tiers of the same mountain, the field shows the typical characteristics of the Atlantic regions of mountain with very cold winters.
The central part of the plateau is dominated by the Mediterranean climate, with hot summers and severe winters especially, less the east of Zamora, still dominated by a much drier climate.
In the mountainous areas of north, east and south, the climate is typically Mediterranean, with scanty rainfall, hot summers and cold winters.
